Organic Red quinoa Salad with Rosemary Infused Orange Vinaigrette
Quinoa is truly an amazing food. Grown for centuries in South America, Quinoa's impeccable reputation for high protein, iron and even calcium has
received standing ovations here in San Diego.
Often called a grain, quinoa is actually the seed of the Gooseberry plant, which is related to the spinach and chard family.
While quinoa also comes in white and black, we've selected the red variety
for its wonderful, nutty aroma and flavor. When the tiny quinoa seeds are cooked, the germ of the seed unwraps and forms a curly "tail" giving quinoa
a surprisingly unique texture similar to tobiko or caviar.
Quinoa is gluten free, easy to digest and...the best part is....it's delicious
in our latest summer salad. We dress this super food with a tantalizing rosemary infused orange vinaigrette. Have some today, just for your health.
