Decker Brothers Gourmet is popping up all over San Diego County!

Serving Soup on the Sand Decker Brothers Gourmet is active in the San Diego community. We enjoy supporting local causes and we love to get out and meet you, our Soup Fans. We love to give back to the city that we live in, from volunteer work to charity fund raisers. Here are some of the wonderful organizations we are proud to support.

Wounded Warriors Surf Clinic

Every Thursday, we have the honor and privilege of working with the patients from the Balboa Navy Medical Hospital here in San Diego. The lead physical therapist and her dedicated team bring 15 to 20 wounded warriors to the beach from a morning of surfing, body boarding, yoga on the sand and swimming. The Decker Bros have been volunteer surf coaches for over 5 years working with these courageous men and women who have served our country. Their abilities range from amputations, post traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury but their attitude in the water is inspiring! And when the weather and water gets chilly, we have Decker Brothers soup to warm them up. To learn more about the and the many other programs supporting our Wounded Warriors, contact the Armed Services YMCA.

Just Call Us Volunteers

Chris Decker and Julie Darling Every week, we produce over 125 gallons of soup made-to-order by each one of our customers. But often we have a few gallons left over. What happens with these extra gallons? Something awesome! Julie Darling, of Just Call Us Volunteers takes our left over soups and feeds hundreds of San Diego residents in need.

Just Call Us Volunteers works with other non-profit organizations all over San Diego County to assist low-income and homeless children and adults by offering free and healthy meals. They also provide hands on classes using local ingredients and even our soup.

Working with the Alpha Project and the Veterans Village of San Diego they round up a team of enthusiastic volunteers to cook then serve meals for major holidays at the San Diego City and Veterans Shelters. Just Call Us Volunteers also uses our soup for their twice-monthly Soup and Salad Sundays.

Just Call Us Volunteers is always looking for volunteers for their many community outreach programs. Participants can volunteer their time for the day, or even just for a few hours. To get involved with Julie and her organization, visit their website HERE. Tell Julie the Decker Bros sent you!
